What are RAMPER Codes?
Every game gets three short codes, made the first time the game syncs:
- View Game — watch the game live. Can’t score.
- Score Game — watch, and ask to take over scoring.
- Game Admin — score, plus manage the game and its codes.
Only give out the code that matches what someone should be able to do. Anyone with a code can pass it on, so if a code gets around, replace it or delete it in Share Scoring and the old one stops working for everyone.
How do I share a game?
Open the game, tap the … menu and choose Score Game. On the Share Scoring page pick the code (Score Game or Game Admin), then share the code or link by message. A link opens the game straight in RAMPER Cricket. To let people watch without the app, choose View Online from the same menu: it opens the live web scoreboard at ramper360.com, which you can share from your browser.
You can protect scoring with a Scoring PIN. Send the PIN separately from the code: anyone joining to score needs both.
How do I join a game someone shared with me?
Tap the link they sent, or enter the code in the RAMPER Code section on the Home screen. The game appears on your phone and updates as it’s scored.
I reinstalled the app or got a new phone. Can I still score my games?
Yes. Deleting the app removes its games from your phone, but reinstalling on the same phone keeps your phone’s identity: join each game again with its code and your scoring rights are still there. On a new phone, join each game again with its code; a Score Game or Game Admin code lets you carry on scoring.
How do I hand over scoring to another phone?
Only one phone scores a game at a time. On the phone taking over, join with a Score Game or Game Admin code and request access. The current scorer gets a notification and can release scoring to you or deny it. If nobody is scoring at the moment, your phone takes over straight away. Your name in Settings is what other scorers see, so set it to something they’ll recognise.
The game says “Not syncing”
Your scoring is safe on your phone, and you can keep scoring. The message says why the game couldn’t upload. Check you’re online, then tap Retry. The app also retries by itself when the connection comes back and when you reopen it. If it still won’t sync, email us with the game’s code and the reason shown.
Do I need signal at the ground?
No. Everything is scored and saved on your phone. Followers see the updates once your phone is back online.
How do I get the app?
Download RAMPER Cricket from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. It’s free and available in New Zealand and Australia. Updates arrive through the App Store like any other app.
How do I delete a game?
Swipe to delete it from your games list. That removes it from your phone only. To have a game removed from our servers as well, email us its code.
